This is Real America. People gathering around a house in small town. Remembering those that have died. Watching a man sing about the love he has for the land where he and his family grew up in.

President Bush is not a Texan, by the way. He was born in the wild and wooly cowboy town of New Haven, Connecticut. Not too far from the Congdon home, really.
And his "ranch" at Crawford has never been a ranch. When he bought it, it was a pig farm.

Your Dad really knows how to belt out a tune! I'm one of those people, who every couple of decades, signs a petition to replace the Star Strangled Banana with God Bless America or America The Beautiful as the national anthem. But my personal favourite is: Columbia, Gem of the Ocean. Now, that's a song ya' can sing!
