Women Use the Internet??
Are you fo' serious? No freaking way. I don't believe it. ;)
Chickadvisor is very new, very cute site that reviews women-esque things like handbags and makeup but also goes as far as cafes and dentists (wtf?). Right now, they only cover Toronto... but promise to cover more cities soon. What I like most about the site is the bloggy-ness of the reviews, the woman-to-woman advice factor and the variety of topics.
It's pretty much catered to the girly girl though... so that might turn off some women.
All in all it's just in the beginning stages, but it doesn't take much imagination to envision all the fun places Chickadvisor could go. I agree with Nick... a partnership with Froogle might be great down the line... when more cities are available.
Who can resist those adorable floating words on the front page.. you just wanna grab 'em!

On ChickAdvisor, under the Toronto Hotlist products tab, the first item is Gap Wedges. Hmmm, that's odd. I always thought this was a gap wedge.

Joe, you're totally right. I didn't know the difference either..err..that is until I got married to Miss Chickie :)
Amanda thanks for the post :) We're super happy you liked the site.
Nick's right in his post but he missed a step in using the site.
You see he didn't actually try to buy those Gap Wedges ;)
We did our best to the klunky tech stuff.
We actually are already using the Amazon affiliate API when we know what's been submitted and use Froogle when it's a general search for products. We're also doing searches for locations via Google maps (mashup coming soon) but that’s the easy stuff...eventually things like the mobile Hotlist will be a lot more fun so we can be handy in your future travels :)

There is something universal in the appeal of a post like the one Ali did on "stalking the slouchy boot." I don't think chick advisor is just for women. i think stylin' people of all genders can enjoy her!
