My Replacement

Steve Garfield (from SteveGarfield.com) sent me this video last night. This is the funniest spoof of me ever, by far! Love it!! I hope she gets the job.

    I am sorry you won't be "the Face" the new face will be different. I think Boom will fizzle but I'll probably never know. Hope you keeps us up on what's going on and what your new venue is.

    Well, It's great to see Steve G. on the right side of the issue. Today I wrote Rocketboom that their (Andrew's) posting was way out of line with what I understood was Amanda's role on the show and her future and that "thousands and thousands" of us will want her and Andrew to work out a compromise rather than see a new face. I don't think there is any doubt about this. Stay close to us, Amanda. (thanks, Steve G.)

    I don't recall ever seeing rocketboom before this weekend past, but, I decided to watch as many as I could. I think I may have seen most of them. It was wonderful to see you grow into rocketboom. I wish you well and hope you come back again. I'll watch and listen.

    That was sooo funny.
    I only really got into rocketboom about a week and half before you left, Amanda, and was really getting into it when the disagreement between you and Andrew happened.
    Since then I've been following it as closely as I could, and have been apprehensive about a replacement filling your shoes, as I would say, and most people here would agree: You ARE RocketBoom.

    With that said, though, I am finding it slightly disturbing watching the new RocketBoom, with Joanne Colan. I have to say that I actually feel kind of dirty, because I feel like I'm betraying you, but I watch it because if I didn't, I would somehow be disloyal to the British, seeing as both Joanne, and I, are British.

    On that note, I hope you all the best for the future, I hope that you ride the wave that has been the sudden loss of you from RocketBoom, because as they say: When one door closes, another one opens.

    Prove to us the power of this proverb, Amanda. We believe in you. :)
